“We,” “us,” or “our” refers to Chauffeur Bodyguard, a sole proprietorship registered London, UK.
“You” or “client” refers to the individual or entity booking or using our services.
“Services” means chauffeur-driven transportation, airport transfers, general driving, optional close protection whether it be respite for a family member or security requirements, and culinary services provided by our trained chefs for events or journeys.
2. Booking and Payment
Reservations: Bookings must be made via our website, phone, or email. Confirmation is subject to availability and receipt of payment or deposit. Clients must agree to these Terms and Conditions during booking via our checkbox.
Specialized Services: For bookings requiring drivers with a Security Industry Authority (SIA) license or chauffeur certificate, additional fees apply, as specified in the booking contract. Culinary services (e.g., for long journeys, including sea vessels or private aircraft) are provided by our team of chefs, formerly employed at 5-star hotels, and incur separate charges as quoted.
Payment Options: Lightning Network (Bitcoin): For specific contracts requiring drivers with a SIA licence, chauffeur certificates, or culinary services, payment must be made via the Lightning Network in Bitcoin within 72 hours of signing the contract. Contract amendments may be requested post-booking, subject to our approval and availability.
Bitcoin Tipping: Clients may tip drivers or chefs via the Bitcoin network at their discretion.
Other Methods: We accept PayPal, and UK-legal debit and credit cards.
Payment terms are specified at booking.
Pricing: Rates are quoted at booking and include fuel, driver fees, and applicable taxes (e.g., VAT at 20% if registered). Additional charges (e.g., waiting time, parking fees, tolls, culinary ingredients, or specialized licenses) will be communicated in advance. For services in Scotland, additional costs (e.g., long-distance travel, overnight stops) may apply and will be quoted upfront.
Cancellations:
Cancellations made 48 hours before the scheduled service incur no charge.
Cancellations within 48 hours but more than 24 hours before service incur a 25% fee of the booking total.
Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows incur a 50% fee. Culinary service cancellations may incur additional fees for prior purchased ingredients.
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7 business days via the original payment method (or equivalent for Bitcoin payments).
Amendments: Clients may request amendments to bookings (e.g., time, destination, culinary menu) after signing the contract, subject to availability and additional costs, if applicable. Amendments must be confirmed in writing.
3. Client Responsibilities
Provide accurate booking details (e.g., pick-up time, location, number of passengers, event details, dietary requirements for culinary services).
Ensure all passengers comply with safety instructions, including wearing seatbelts.
Refrain from smoking, engaging in disruptive behavior, or consuming alcohol in the vehicle (albeit with the optional SIA Door Supervisor Licence this is permitted).
For culinary services, notify us of allergies or dietary restrictions at least 72 hours before the service.
Be responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle or culinary equipment by you or your party.
For bookings requiring confidentiality, clients may request a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). We will handle such requests case-by-case, and additional fees may apply.
4. Our Responsibilities
Driving Services: We provide licensed, insured drivers and clean, roadworthy vehicles. For airport transfers, we monitor flight schedules to adjust for delays, but clients must provide accurate flight details. Luxury services (e.g., premium vehicles, chauffeur certificate, SIA licence, high-end cuisine) are available upon request.
Culinary Services: Our chefs, trained at 5-star hotels, offer bespoke menus for events or long journeys, including sea vessels or private aircraft. Menus are tailored to client preferences, subject to ingredient availability.
Punctuality: We aim to arrive on time, subject to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. Delays beyond our control (e.g., long-distance travel requiring stops) are not grounds for refunds.
Refusal of Service: We reserve the right to refuse service to clients who are intoxicated, abusive, or pose a safety risk to drivers, chefs, or other passengers.
5. Safety and Compliance
All vehicles are fully insured and comply with UK road transport regulations, including local private hire vehicle (PHV) licensing requirements in England, Wales, and, where applicable, Scotland. Drivers hold valid licences, and those with SIA licences or chauffeur certificates meet relevant regulatory standards.
Culinary services adhere to UK food safety regulations. Chefs are trained in hygiene and allergen management.
We are not liable for accidents caused by external factors (e.g., other drivers, road conditions), but we maintain insurance as required by law.
6. Liability and Limitations
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., missed flights, event delays, or culinary dissatisfaction) arising from our services, except where required by law.
Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service.
Lost or damaged personal items in the vehicle or during culinary services are your responsibility unless caused by our negligence.
For culinary services, we are not liable for allergic reactions unless caused by our failure to honor disclosed dietary restrictions.
7. Privacy and Data
We may collect personal information (e.g., name, contact details, pick-up address, dietary preferences) to provide our services. If an NDA is requested for high-profile clients, we will outline data handling in a separate agreement.
Data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. We do not share your data with third parties except as needed to provide services (e.g., payment processors, Bitcoin network for payments) or as required by law.
8. Termination or Refusal of Service
We may cancel or refuse service if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or engage in unsafe or unlawful behavior.
We reserve the right to modify or cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., vehicle breakdown, chef unavailability), with prompt notification and, where applicable, a full refund.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where services are provided in Scotland, in which case the laws of Scotland may apply to the extent required by local regulations. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless Scottish courts have jurisdiction due to the location of the service or dispute.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Updated terms will be posted on our website.
